Hey all!
Here is my final submission for this year's Plein Airpril. Every day I tried to make a painting in location (5 of them are from photographs) and I worked in Watercolor. Attached are some of my favorite submissions! If you're interested in seeing them all, check them out on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/xiaogabe/
The most challenging part was getting used to the weather and how it would affect the drying time of my painting palette, and the paper, altering my color mixing, and my timing. Very rewarding experience all around. I learned a lot about watercolor, and especially about working in the moment.
All images with the exception of two were created with Arches 140lb cold press paper, and are 7x10 in size.
They all took from 45 minutes to 1:30 minutes to complete each.
